CASA of Northeast Tennessee provides 3 primary volunteer roles: The Advocate, The Crusader, and The Board Member.
The Advocate works the case, gets to know every aspect of the child’s life, and seeks out what is in the child’s best interest. Advocates provide a court report to the juvenile court judge and attend court hearings as an integral part of the child’s team. The CASA Crusader acts as a representative and promoter of the CASA program. The Crusader is a community volunteer responsible for looking out for the best interest of the CASA program. Crusaders participate in community outreach events and fundraisers. Read more about being a Crusader and complete the application to join this growing team!
The Board Member serves a 3-year term on the Board of Directors. They meet monthly, looking out for the best interest of the organization and ensuring CASA of Northeast TN is ethically and financially sound. For more information on joining the Board of Directors, contact Christina Griffin.
